There's hitches in the animations and input delay in handheld mode but nothing too terrible.Īnd for the record as a total noob at the game i put in 20 hours before learning how to use engineering to upgrade armor and weapons unlocked from research so it's not too punishing of a game on lower difficulties.Age of Wonders 4 invites players to rule a fantasy realm of their own design, in a blend of strategy, role-playing, and turn-based combat. Sound is a mixed bag sometimes working fine other times just crackling. Models look great for what's possible the load times are a little long but bearable. Everything is lowered quality to run on the switch but doesn't feel like it's been gutted. I've had it crash on me maybe 4 or 5 times out of 30 hours of play. Granted im a filthy casual at the game and play it on the easiest settings with some save scumming to fix terrible mistakes. All dlc is included with options to start a game with or without each dlc before going in.
Tough as all hell but never feels like it's cheating.
I grabbed it when it was on sale last after playing through mechanicus.
